OPAL citizen science: environmental survey training

12 January 2015

Open Air Laboratories (OPAL) is an environmental charity helping to get people out and about and caring for the natural environment. OPAL works with scientists who are looking for help collecting information about the health of the UK environment. OPAL is teaming up with the country park to run six environmental survey events during 2015, enabling participants to be part of a nationwide science project. From monitoring air quality to tracking tree diseases, OPAL will teach you how to undertake simple observations that could make all the difference to your local environment.

Details of the six OPAL events have been added to the what's on section of the country park website. Just look out for the OPAL logo.

All events are free, but most require you to book a place by contacting Joanne Dempster at OPAL. Email: joanne.dempster@glasgowsciencecentre.org or tel.: 0141 420 5010 (ext. 270).
